Septic tank placement rules

Spain · Auxiliary · usually permanent

A septic tank is typically placed about 5–6 m from the dwelling and around 30 m from any drinking-water well (recommended figures), should keep a protective distance from the neighbour's boundary, and its discharge requires administrative authorization under the Water Law.

Placement rules

One of the most important objects in a site plan: it affects the house, well, boundary and service access.

Sanitary zone

Sanitary protection distances to wells, drinking water and dwellings.

Important limitation

The catalog is a planning aid, not a legal opinion. Before construction, check the land plot category, local land-use and development rules, easements, utility protection zones and neighbour buildings.
