Distances and rules

A buried power cable has a narrow protection strip on each side. Over it, building and earthworks are restricted to keep the cable accessible and undamaged.

Official parcel check Confirm the distance under the current Bauordnung, zoning/development plan and the competent municipal or district authority. Austria — official overview of state building law

Important limitation

This is a planning aid, not a legal opinion. Before construction, check the local land-use rules, easements, the network/utility operator’s requirements and neighbour buildings.
